Enjoy some real sparks between you and your Valentine!

Monday 28th January

One of the South West’s top tourist attractions has the perfect alternative for those who want to avoid the traditional Valentine’s Day clichés.

Not everyone wants to celebrate their love with soft music, red roses and an ‘intimate’ romantic dinner in a crowded restaurant with lots of other couples.

The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare is offering people a chance to make their Valentine’s celebrations go with a bang, ensuring there really will be a spark between couples.

On Saturday 16 February the popular seafront attraction is hosting another of its Fireworks At Sea spectaculars, which offers the perfect alternative way to spend some quality time with your loved ones.

Hollie Otley, Event Manager at the Grand Pier, said: “According to the old phrase, if you can’t laugh together, you can’t love together.

“The Pier offers plenty of opportunities for laughter at our Fireworks At Sea events, with unlimited ride access.

“Ticket holders can then step arm in arm onto the boardwalk for the best possible view of a spectacular fireworks display, which many people find romantic.”

For those who do want to have something to eat as well, Gold Tickets include a hot food selection and traditional Fish and Chips.

Doors open at 6.30pm and the fireworks are due to start at around 8pm, subject to tide and weather conditions.

Hollie said: “Not everyone wants to do the same old thing on Valentines Day, so if you are thinking about doing something different, why not consider a fun-filled fireworks night on the Pier.”
